A Frustrating Day

Today definitely took a turn from what we had expected. I got up bright and early to do some finishing touches on cleaning the house since the appraiser was coming. The appraiser came and left without any issues.

Early this afternoon, our realtor gave us the bad news. The buyer of our house had backed out of the deal. Due to our Home Owners Association, sheds are not allowed and she obviously had her heart set on having a shed. That threw us for a loop! So here we go again! We are starting all over with the house selling process. Tonight we had 3 showings in 1 hr. 45 minutes.

I am emotionally and physically worn out. This is not what I had envisioned for today. We know that everything will still work out though. When I woke up this morning, the first thing on my mind was where we are going to live in between selling our house and buying a new one. We were running out of time to find a house to move right into. So if nothing else, we have gained 2 more weeks in our Florida home search. God knows what He is doing. Even in today’s disappointment and frustration, we have complete peace that everything will work out in His timing. I love the T.F. Hodge quote that says the following:  “To conquer frustration, one must remain intensely focused on the outcome, not the obstacles.”  As I have mentioned before, God has worked out all of the details so far, so I have no doubt that He will continue to work them out.
